Rev. Placide A. LeBlanc

Chronicle Herald. Friday Oct 16, 1981. Rev. Placide A. LeBIanc PORT  FELIX – Funeral was held Tuesday in St. Joseph du Moine, Inverness County, for Rev. Placide A. LeBlanc, 94. of Port Felix who died Oct. 10 on R.C. MacGillivray’s Guest Home, Sydney.

Born In Friar’s Head, Inverness County, he was a son of Etienne and Luce LeBlanc. He attended high school in St. Joseph du Moine and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph’s University of Memramcook, N.B. He was ordained In the Quebec Basilica by Cardinal Begin in 1916.

He was appointed pastor of St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Felix, where he remained until 1950, at which time he was appointed to Holy Guardian Angel Parish, L’Ardoise, Richmond County. He retired in 1967, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by several nieces and a nephew.
